I loved Fallen too Far, as a matter in fact, I loved it so much I have already read it about four times. So when Never Too Far got to my hands I couldn’t wait to open it and read it.

One of the best things about this series was that you could see the story happening through Blaire’s eyes. And one of the things I dislike the most about New Adult books is the two POV thingy going on. It was interesting to read only from Blaire’s POV cause you had no idea what Rush was thinking.

But then, one I got to the 2nd chapter all I said was “Holly shit, what did Abbi Glines do?” Seriously, WHY? She ruined it! I was so mad, I’m still mad cause Fallen too Far was one of my fav books and she ruined it! It felt like she just threw a rock at my face.

So I have something to tell every single New Adult contemporary romance author, don’t do it, just don’t. Ever heard of the “hey, what’s he thinking? gosh I wanna know it but don’t at the same time”? Yes, well it’s a real thing. Just write from the girl’s POV and nobody will get mad, and if you do, don’t do it on the SECOND F***** book!!!

-sorry-not-sorry-i’m-seriously-mad

One problem with Abbi Gline’s books is that she now writes with two POV’s, ALWAYS. I wish sometimes she would just stop and think… perhaps she did, perhaps I’m being an idiot about this, I’m sure there must be readers who actually love reading a book with two POV’s… well, I’m NOT one of those.

Moreover, Abbi could’ve just written Never too Far from Blaire’s POV and then once the readers had reached the end of the book, surprise, surprise, special scenes by Rush’s POV. That way everybody would be happy, no damage made.

I honestly think Abbi loses a lot, as a writer, by writing with two POV’s. But that’s just my opinion… I still love Abbi Gline’s books, but I was so disappointed with Rush’s POV… damn, the only positive thing about it was that you were able to see Nanette better as a person. Now, I know a lot of people hate her and want to strangle her most of the time, believe me, so do I, but I couldn’t help but feel sad for her. The one we should really hate is Georgiana, Nanette’s and Rush’s mother.

Throughout the book you see how deeply Rush loves Blair, although sometimes I felt he didn’t love her enough… And Blaire she forgives him too easily, and I’m not talking about her jumping hormones, cause seriously, that was hot, I mean when Nan has her accident, Rush rushes to the hospital (“Rush rushes” haha) and the bastard literally throws a pregnant Blair out of the fucking car, what-the-hell, oh, he also “forgets” to call her for a week, I found myself wishing Woods would make his moves on Blair.

But in the end, Rush understands that he would eventually lose Blair if he continued to act like an idiot, hopefully on Forever too Far he will change his ways.

All in all, I rate this book with

3.5 Chibis
